Mini Therapy Horses is an all volunteer
501(c)(3) non-profit charity
Our teams of highly trained miniature therapy horses visit over 50,000 children and adults in need each year across the United States.
These horses help people in crisis—from the survivors of the San Bernardino tragedy to the children staying at the Ronald McDonald Houses while receiving critical medical procedures. The horses make weekly visits to the patients at The Greater Los Angeles Veterans Hospital and have fulfilled last wish requests. All of the minis are registered law enforcement therapy horses at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Civilian Volunteer Program. They are on-call 24/7 as members of the Los Angeles Mayor’s Crisis Response Team, providing comfort to those involved in traumatic incidents and can be called upon as first responders at a moment’s notice.

Elite Daily created this beautiful video that shows how Mini Therapy Horses is making a difference and changing the lives of children and adults in need. We feel that this segment really captures the spirit of the work that we do and how much fun we have along the way. It allows you to take a closer look at our world, inviting you to experience that sacred moment when a child first sees one of our miniature therapy horses. We are delighted to share this magic with you, and are forever grateful for each day we get to see that sparkle of hope in a child’s eyes.
